Portrait Of A Painter

I cannot say how much I admire
How much you attempt
And how much you accomplish
As if you had plenty of time to spare.

If I had the time myself,
I think I’d rush by
Just to fall in love with you
For a moment or an eon,
But as it is, I barely have time
To say that I’d like to!

(How fine it’d be, though, to be in love
With a lady of such finesse,
Who paints so much more
Than her own eyes and lips!)
