Team Blogs Do What?!

You know, something I never say In Blogger Help Group is that Team Blogs suck. Yeah, they do. I've never seen more than one of any consequence. Maybe there are some, but they're private? Could be. But I see questions about them constantly that suggest to me that they don't work very well. I've been seeing questions for a long time now, yet I've seen very few answers (or none). People must be using hammers to force their way through the difficulties because I've seen no nice precise answers! But why would anybody even want to be on a team blog? I'm too egotistical myself, it would never work. It's been proven over and over again that I am not a joiner. I am too much of an individualistic freak! The only good team blog I've ever seen is one in which only 1 of the 2 members has frequent input, so it's really just a regular one-person blog. No doubt the other person is very nice, but he/she's just not THERE!

Afterthought: I'm designating one of my practice blogs a Team Blog and inviting a handful of friends to join it just so I can see how it works from the inside of one. No serious intentions.

  1. I'm not sure you were reading my blog when Diane McCormick offered a differing opinion. I really enjoyed that, though it was probably still "my" blog.

After 30 years of teaching alone, I found it rather pleasant to "team" up with someone else.

There'd be alot less dead air time on my site if I had someone else contributing.

  2. OK, it may be I missed all the good team blogs. I made one of my test blogs a team blog and have invited a few close friends to join just so that I can begin to see how one looks from the inside. I'm not sure I'm serious enough to expect any writing out of my friends. Maybe.

  3. Naww! Better just stick with the time-proven, piss-on-the-world "Lone Rat" that we've all come to look upon "with a disgust that amounts to absolute detestation"!

Now, tell me where THAT "quoted-line" came from! I have varied interests, indeed...!

  7. Interesting you should say that. I'm fairly new to blogging but have read a fair number and made what I believe will be lasting friendships on a couple. (Now glances cautiously over her shoulder and whispers ... but the only team blog I visit is usually rather boring!)

  8. Well, maybe most of them are private, as I suggested before. So it's not possible for me to see the good ones, if there are any.

  9. Ha! So where were you when I was locked in the shed? It's taken the best part of a week for me to break poor old shrink out of there. I posted for help, no replies. Finally figured it out though, so all's forgiven (this time). x

  10. I was probably practicing self-gratification here on my ADULT site. No crybabies allowed!

  11. So this is an ADULT site. No wonder your fingers were vibrating!

  12. Makes me want to try a Team Blog. Though, if I'm any good at predicting the future, things will go like this: posted by Tiphanie, posted by Tiphanie, posted by Tiphanie, posted by OtherPerson, posted by Tiphanie. I'm just a freak like that. Maaaayybe I'll try it.

  13. Tiphanie, you can invite me to join your Team Blog, though I might be a poison pill. I take irritability everywhere I go.
