My Sister

My sister passed away last night after years of false alarms about her heart, her diabetes, her kidneys, her stomach.

My sister passed away last night. I don't know what else to say. It's hard enough just to say it.

  1. I'm so sorry Ron...can't imagine how that must feel.

Best advice...think of all the good times and cry it out. A real man can cry for those they love.

  5. It ain't the crying I mind, Mushy, it's the intolerable state of snottiness that accompanies it that makes me want to avoid it. My nose is already sore.

  8. I know exactly how you feel. Been there, done that. Not proud of it, just understanding. Like Mushy said, don't try to hold it in, no shame in showing your emotions. But whatever you do, give it an outlet. Don't hold it in, it will tear you apart from the inside. There really IS a time for everything, and this is the time for remembrance. And each time it happens, it will always hurt. It will heal, but only if you let it.

  10. Death of a family member or someone close to you is never easy. I hope that you are doing ok and working your way through the grief.

I have to admit that one of my first thoughts when I read your post was "I wonder if she was anything like Ron?" Maye you will tell us a little bit about her.

  12. I am so sorry to hear of your loss :( Funny how we go along reading blogs and mostly are a bit of this or that but sometimes one is about something as deep as your loss and it makes us catch our breath. May you have comfort in your loss
