Funny and true of a lot of us, I think! But then, you can never get your youth back physically... and I keep trying to maintain a youthful mentality!
ReplyDeleteMentality is only thinking, and we can think anything while we're actually mired in something else. I try to keep a youthful attitude, too, but the kids under 12 don't believe it! Probably not the kids under 21!
ReplyDelete#1. If you would be able to get back your youth, some asshole would work you to death, AGAIN, for low-pay! #2. Exercise---I sit-up in bed at least once each day! #3. I NEVER got up early, always worked nights(and actually enjoyed it!)#4. Respectable? Come on now, since when did THAT become profitable??? When was the last time anyone paid you any attention when you were nice, and "respectable", huh?

ReplyDeleteOf course he was right! You're just admitting you'll have an even harder time getting it back after you've had time to lose it! At present, you ARE young, my dainty!
ReplyDeleteAh, so that's how it works. How very depressing. Can't we get insurance on that or something?
ReplyDeleteI have returned! Ok, the exercising thing isn't too bad, but screw that 'getting up early' part...
ReplyDeletetiphanie--that's why people get tight with God. It's a form of insurance (people think). If it works, it must not work until the last minute, though.
