Overheard in a Cowboy Bar

Another One Bites The Dust

Things were quiet. There was only one customer in the bar so early in the afternoon--he already looked a little hungover.

"Did you hear the news that Michael Jackson died?" the bartender asked.

"What took him so long?" replied the customer.

The bartender shrugged. Just then the door opened and another customer came in with a brief blast of sunlight and warmth.

  1. That's funny. Wrong, but funny.

  2. Others will probably come along behind you and crucify me for it, but I can handle it. I'll just go hide in the closet or under the bed for a little while.

  3. MJ did have his dark side, but he did at least bring entertainment to many. We all have our darkness and our light. A bit like his song "Black and White" I guess.

  4. I don't suppose we're suggesting that "child-molestor" is only "dark"? You must believe in the nonsense of "innocent until proven guilty." I personally cling to the bad attitude that "If it walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck, it IS a duck!"

  5. "...a brief blast of sunlight and warmth." So was his life; and our lives go on.

  6. There was a great deal of self=hatred involved in Jackson's "changes" that he made or attempted, which made him as pitiful as an injured dog to me. I was however never drawn to the adoration or adulation.

  7. Not a fan. Was never a fan. Did not understand the fascination of a bunch of middle class white girls when I was in college either.

Send me an email and I'll shoot you the art blog. Hopefully this sign in thing works right.
