Dead Boredom

This Time Again

There's only so long left tonight
Before it's time to sleep
And not so many hours left then
That it seems like a very long time
(No, it won't be long!)
Before it's time to wake again
And trudge through another day
Of dreams and dread,
Another folly and fallen midnight,
And all in ever bright or blighted schemes,
Until it's about This Time Again
And we start all over in doubt and bed.
