ReplyDeleteI've rarely felt more depressed than from a conversation I've just had with my 15 year old, and his mates earlier today.
ReplyDeleteThe Isle of Man Government, in their wisdom, have decided to allow the vote to 16 year olds, hoping they might catch 'em young.
In my nievity, I though this would excite them. Not one, from a group of 11, expressed anything but disinterest. None thought they'd bother to vote, come their day.
Is it just me?
America is a dog who shook off those fleas and--voila!--no more Don Imus! But it's a lot harder to shake a tick like George. They impeached Clinton for fucking some dumb girl, but George has fucked the whole country and been congratulated for it as much as pilloried. And the brave young soldiers? Let them all die and let God sort it out.
